Howard W. Heck, 94, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on June 5, 2003 in his residence. He was born May 25, 1909 in Seattle, Washington to Maurice and Elizabeth (Woods) Heck. Howard was employed by the Sun Oil Company for 39 years, retring in 1971 as an area foreman. He was a member of Euclid United Methodist Church, Demolay member for 50 years, and the Sun Oil Retiree Club. Howard enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Arizona. Howard is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Daltry); son, David (Armella Jane) Heck; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Magdalena Heck, and daughter, Shirley Lou Heck. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Monday, June 9, 2003 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Hope United Methodist Cemetery in Aston, Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions in Howard's honor can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
