Howard E. Heintz 75 of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 19, 2004 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital.
Howard was born in Jackson Center, Ohio on August 5, 1928 to Henry F. and Mary (Hagelberger) Heintz.
He married Dorothy Miller who preceded him in death on June 15, 1997. Howard was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Bearings Inc. in 1988 after 34 years of service. Howard was a
member of Calvary Lutheran Church, and was also a member of Disabled American Vets, American Legion #642.
Surviving are his niece, Ethel (Norm) Geist, Quakertown, PA, Pastor Joyce Heintz,
Wakefield, MI, Doug
DeVos and his fiancee Linda Alderman, Mary, Castillia, Ohio, Fred (Lana) Heintz, Sylvania, Ohio, 3 great
nieces and 1 great nephew.
In addition to his wife Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leo; sister Irene Heintz; niece Mary (Heinz) DeVos.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday where DAV services will be held in the evening. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road on Wednesday at 11:00 am where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Howard's memory are asked to consider Calvary Lutheran Church or the DAV American Vets, Airport Highway.
