Irene M. Heiden, 88, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and formerly of Curtice, OH passed away December 28, 2003 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born February 28, 1915 in Akron, OH to James and Hazel (Brumbaugh) Zeadker. Through the years, Irene helped run Heiden Boat Livery on Cooley Canal and was employed by the Holland Window Cleaning Company and the Ritz Supper Club. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Irene enjoyed fishing, playing all kinds of cards and loved her grandchildren dearly. Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie J. (Robert) Varga; grandchildren, Robert Varga, Jr. and Jeanette S. (William) Free; great-grandchildren, Chris (Rachael), Lauren, Andrew Varga, Johnathan Free and W. Garrison Free; great-great grandchildren, Trinity and Tristan Varga; sister, Doris (Donald) Snyder; sister-in-laws, Lucille Zeadker, Sue Zeadker and Dorothy Zeadker and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Heiden; son, Albert D. Heiden; brothers, Charles, Edward, Gene, Sam, Jim and John; sisters, Vi Dokman, Ruby Ballert and Louella Kanneman. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Tuesday, from 2-9p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 31, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Williston Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Irene's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
