Obituary

Irene (Kaloger) Himebaugh, of Northwood, OH passed away peacefully on February 15, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on February 16, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Paul and Anna (Kotchin) Kaloger. Irene was the widow of John Himebaugh, who passed away in 1974, and was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She enjoyed all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a loving mother and "Yia Yia" . Surviving are her daughters, Mary "Jeanie" Brandburg, Northwood, OH and Joan (Bert) Carstensen, Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Angela (Ron) Closson, Christina (Grisson) Weiss, Melissa and Matthew Carstensen; 2 great-grandchildren, Noelle and Stormy Weiss; sisters, Mary McAninch, Oregon, OH, Alfreda (Pete) Morris, Oregon, OH and Bessie Papuchike, Perrysburg, OH; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 from 2-9 p.m. with Trisagion Services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 802 Superior St., Toledo, OH with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Irene's name can be made to the Holy Trinity Memorial Fund, the American Diabetes Foundation or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Irene's family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Lorton, Dr. Sungurlu and the nurses and staff at Hospice for their special care.
