Iris J. Weirich, 80, of Oregon, OH, passed away December 8, 2005, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, OH on June 6, 1925, to William and Matilda (Jenne) Schubel. Iris had been employed as a supervisor for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, retiring in 1985 after 22 years. She was a life long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, past president of St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary, current board member of the Lutheran Orphans' and Old Folks' Home, gift shop manager with the Lutheran Home, Samma Gamma member, past president of the Women of Church and treasurer of OBES retirees. Surviving are her children, Larry (Kathy), Beverly (Paul) Kozina, Bill (Laura) and Tim Weirich of Cleveland, OH; twin sister, Doris Wendt of Oak Harbor, OH; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Iris was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond. Family and friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. where prayer services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woodville Rd. at Elmore St., Toledo, Ohio on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Iris' memory are asked to consider St. Mark Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
