Isabella M. Lopez, 75, of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 4, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born in Kyle, Texas on November 4, 1937 to Aurelio and Juanita (Martinez) Melendez. Isabella was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and the holiday season. Isabella loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a former member of St. Mary'™s Catholic Church and attended Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Jose Sr. 'œJoe'; mother, Juanita Maldonado; children, Joseph (Belma) Lopez, Paul (Christina) Lopez, Sonya (Duke) Hamilton and Aurelio (Susan) Lopez; siblings, Justo (Emma) Maldonado, Stella Briceno and Gloria (Pasqual) Hernandez; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Isabella was preceded in death by her father; brother, Tony Maldonado; son, Florencio Lopez; 3 great grandchildren, Angel, Mia and Iziah. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 728 S. St. Clair Street at 10:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may directed to the Lopez family.
