Isabella S. Pisula, 71, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Isabella was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 26, 1945 to Donald and Susan (Stewart) Campbell. Isabella volunteered for the Young Swimmers Athletic Union and worked for the National Savings Bank of Scotland prior to moving to the United States in 1979. On October 27, 1979, she married her loving husband Richard Pisula. For 18 years, Isabella worked for Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, retiring as office manger in 2013. She enjoyed working out at Curves in Northwood, coffee with friends, and enjoying her monthly bunco game with friends. A devoted Catholic, Isabella was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she was becoming more and more active in numerous activities and organizations. Isabella was proud of her Scottish heritage as a member of the Winston Churchill Chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire. Her true passion was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren who brought her much joy.
Isabella is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard; daughters, Lisa (Tony) Byrd, Pamela (Andy) Londergan, and Teresa Pisula; grandchildren, EMN2-SS Nicholas (Hanna) Byrd, Isabella Londergan and Ian Londergan; sisters, Agnes (Bernard) Morris, Jean (Bruce) Geddes; honorary sister, Katie Navarre; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends in the United States and Scotland. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 9:30 am in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 North Stadium Road, Oregon, where the family will receive friends beginning at 8:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
