Ivan C. Blackledge, 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Delaware County, Ohio on October 3, 1918 to William and Luna (Trainor) Blackledge. Ivan was an U.S. army veteran, serving during World War II. He was employed as a meat cutter at Seaway Food Town for 34 years and retired in 1982. Ivan enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all spending time with his grandson, Roy.
Surviving are his wife, Rosena; son, Donald (Betty); daughter, Patricia (Roger) Hulslander; grandson, Roy; sister, Marjory Ulrey. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Audrey, and brothers, Kermit and William.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday from 2 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Clay Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Ivan'™s memory can be made to the charity of the donor'™s choice.
