Izora E. Rost, 63, of Toldedo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Izora was born on May 11, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Clifford and Ila (Shaner) Glaze. Izora married her best friend, Bill Rost on June 3, 1967. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and making afghans for her family. She also loved to garden, shop, go garage-saling, and most of all spend time with her family.
Izora is survived by her loving husband of 46 years; son, Richard (Brenda) Rost; daughter, Mary (Jeff) Thomasson; brothers, Doug (Peggy) Monk, Richard (Cookie) Monk; sister, Goldie Ellsworth, Debbie (Slugger) Tanner; mother-in-law, Midge Rost; sister-in-law, Lyn Loss; brother-in-law, Louie (Wanda) Rost; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 6 step-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William (Billy) Rost Jr.; brothers, Robert and Jerry Monk; and father-in-law, Walter Rost.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
