Jack J. Gears, 71 of Toledo, passed away on Friday November 14, 2003 in his home. Mr. Gears was born on September 26, 1932 in Hocking County Ohio to John and Ada (Matheny) Gears. Jack was a self employed handyman and an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Surviving are his sons, John and Robert (Melissa) Gears; daughter, Phyllis Lynn Siedlecki; brothers, John, James, Jeff, Jerry, Jay David and Danny Gears; sisters, Judy Thomas and Jane Wagner; grandchildren, Jason, Daniel, Andrea, Joel, Allison, Jonanthan, Michael, Melanie, Hannah and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Gears. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am in the in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH where friends and family may visit on Monday, November 17, 2003 from 2 until 9 p.m. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
