James A. Bailey, 95, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital.  James was born in Findlay, Ohio on February 13, 1913 to Lloyd and Annie (Akins) Bailey.  Mr. Bailey was employed at the former Glauser Florist for 35 years after which he worked as a sanitary engineer for Wood Country until his retirement in 1981.  He was a US Army veteran of WW II.  Mr. Bailey served as a volunteer fireman at Northwood's #2 station for over 20 years. . He was also a 45 year member of American Legion Post #240 in Luckey, Ohio. Surviving are his daughters, Nancy (Theodore) Marsh of Perrysburg and Gloria Gardner of Lawrenceville GA;  grandchildren, Sandra Gardner, Jim (Therese) Gardner, Dana (Michael) Leskow and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty; granddaughter, Diana Marsh, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury where friends and family may visit beginning on Monday at 11:00 am until services begin at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
