James R. Adkins, 83, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Jim was born February 10, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio to William and Laura (Carstensen) Adkins. Jim graduated form Olney High School and Toledo University. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Jim was employed with Owens Illinois and retired from Wacker Chemical in Adrian Michigan. Jim remained active throughout his life as a member of the YMCA and enjoyed reading and fishing. Jim is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kyong; children, Erika and Ian; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Graveside services 10:00 am Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
