James C. Campbell, 81, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. Jim was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 26, 1936 to Avander and Margaret (Beller) Campbell. He graduated from Lake High School in 1954 and enlisted in the United States Army. On December 26, 1983, He married Mary Meier. Mr. Campbell along with his family owned and operated Toledo Auto and Truck Supply for over 50 years. Jim was an avid motorcycle rider, enjoyed boating, camping, and traveling throughout the United States.
Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary; children, Michael Campbell, Cindy (Gary) Akenberger, Jeffrey (Marcia) Bourdo, and Jill (Lester) Meyer; grandchildren, Matthew Campbell, Alexander Campbell, Adam Akenberger, Jennifer (Tyler) Johnson, Nicole Bourdo, Tyler Bourdo, Chelsea (Kirk) Miller, Grant Meyer, Garrett Meyer, and Griffin Meyer; great-granddaughter, Lucy Miller; brother, Richard (Carol) Campbell; brother-in-law, Jack Meier; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Billie (Cardosy) Campbell; brother, John Campbell; and sister, Pauline Avers.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.
