James W. Dilworth, 76, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 in his home. He was born on October 2, 1926 to Lake O. and Pauline (Merrit) Dilworth in Anderson County, South Carolina. James served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed as truck driver for various oil refiners for over 28 years.
Surviving is his loving wife of 28 years, Mildred; daughters, Diane (Donny) Stewart and Debi (Brian) Maddux; step-daughters, Debby (Jimmy) Siniard, Suzanne Dreier and Michelle (Joe) Busch; sister, Patsy (Ronnie) Jenkins; brother, Tommy (Sandy) Dilworth; grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, William, Shawn, Dee, Kenny, Karla and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Christian, Katelyn and Noah and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Watson and grandson, Matthew Stewart.
Visitation will be held in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, January 9, 2003 from 4 to 8 pm, where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. The Dilworth family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care and support.
