James R. Edmondson, 68, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 21, 1945 and raised by his parents Willie and Lillian (Stevens) Edmondson. Jim served in the US Army for two tours during the Vietnam War. He continued his service in the military as a cook, retiring in 1998 after 30 years of service. On October 22, 1983, he married Debbie Burke. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Debbie; daughter, Samantha (Donnie Dizney) Edmondson; grandsons, Timothy and Aiden; daughters, Pamela Clark, and Susan Wilholt; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, James E. (Dianne) Edmondson, and sister, Joyce (Dick) Henry. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 2:00 pm '" 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
