Obituary

James F. Healy, 75, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home. Jim was born in Clarksville, Texas, July 14, 1946 to Joseph and Hazel (Nash) Healy. On August 12, 1972, he married Joan Brown while working for Coca Cola in Texas. After relocating to Ohio, Jim worked over 40 years in maintenance with Gen Lime and retired from the Diocese of Toledo in 2011. Jim enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fishing in Lake Erie, crafts, working on cars and was an avid do-it-yourselfer. He and Joan spent countless weekends at local flea markets and maintained several booths at local antique stores selling glassware and jewelry. Jim was an avid sports fan; watching football and the little league world series. Jim is survived by his children, Jim (Angela) Healy, Joanne Healy-Bee, Craig (Amanda) Healy, and Christopher Healy (Kerry); 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard, & Bill; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; and siblings Daisy, Henry, and Virgie. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery.
