James T. Holl, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Genoa Care Center. James was born in New Knoxville, Ohio to James and Eileen (Gross) Holl. After graduating from New Knoxville High School, James received his Bachelor of Arts from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and his Master of Divinity degree from Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. James's career as a pastor took him and his family to many locations. His education provided him with opportunities in social work, teaching, and counseling. James was also a certified piano tuner and repair technician. James was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He often spoke of the train excursions he took as a young fan with his grandfather. This relationship and the love for the game never wavered for over 60 years. You could find him spending time with his grandson, Cameron, watching the Reds together, opening packs of baseball cards, and cheering their favorite team on. His granddaughter was always trying make him feel better. She enjoyed fixing his booboos, getting him a bottle of water from the refrigerator, and giving him a hearty hug. She was his sweetheart, and he truly enjoyed being their Pa. Over the years, you could find Jim playing Euchre, Parcheesi, golfing, and working in his garden. Jim was also a dog lover and leaves behind his furry buddy, Leo. Surviving is his loving wife, Polly, son, Adam (Keri), grandchildren, Cameron Cash and Cali Jaymes Holl, siblings, Dee Holl, Janice (Doug) Everman, Lisa Schumann, Melody Whitner, Sandra Nunnally, and brother Terry (Terrie) Holl. James was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ron Felton, and Timothy Holl. A special thank you to his oncologists, Dr. David Brown, and Dr. Allison Winters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8th, from 1:00PM until 8:00PM at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, Ohio, where his funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In support of Jim's love for the Cincinnati Reds, the family is asking visitors to wear RED as we celebrate Jim's life.
