James A. Howell Jr, 67, of Waldron, MI passed away Monday, July 11, 2005 in Hospice of Northwest of Ohio. He was born in Marietta, OH on June 6, 1938 to James Sr. and Margaret (Dyer) Howell. Jim was a 1956 graduate of Olney High School, attended the University of Cincinnati, and joined the United States Army. After serving our country, he worked as a carpenter in Northwest Ohio and retired in 2000. Jim was a member of Carpenters Local Union #1138 for 45 years, a member of Yondota Lodge #572, F. & A.M. and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his son, James III (Victoria) Howell, Ottawa Lake, MI; grandson, Logan; daughter, Julie Howell, Toledo, OH; sister, Joy Bagley, Buffalo, NY;; niece and nephew, Kim and Jeff Bagley. Jim's parents preceded him in death. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
