James P. Wiener, 69, formerly of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2016. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 30, 1947 to Joseph and Evelyn (Coss) Wiener. Jim was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and went on to work for Norfolk-Southern Railroad before retiring in 2011. Jim is survived by his wife, Laura Harris Wiener; children, Dr. Nikol (Christian) Phillips, Erin (Daniel) Rodriguez; siblings, Donald Wiener and Ann (Terry) Smestead. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Fran Murphy. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Sunday in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
