James H. Kusian, 76, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on August 3, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 6, 1936 to James Warner and Mary Martha (Hammer) Kusian in Walbridge, Ohio. Jim was an avid golfer, fisherman and general sportsman. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. After retirement, as the Superintendent of Streets for the City of Oregon, Jim and Margie enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. He was also a member of Toledo Swiss Men'™s Club of the GAF Society.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Margie (Aberl) Kusian, daughters, Susan (James) Bean and Amy (Jeff) Brezinski; grandchildren, Alison Southward and Emily Bean; brother, Byron F. Kusian; sister, Mary Jane (Carl) Finch and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Earl W. Kusian and infant daughter, Laura.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or an organization of the Donor'™s Choice.
