James E. Marshall Sr., 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away in his residence, Monday, November 17, 2003. James was born in Toledo on August 7, 1934 to Clarence and Vera (Tippy) Marshall. James had retired from Toledo Coke as a crane operator in 1994 after 28 years of service. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, United Steel Workers, and a member of the Eagles. James favorite past time was woodworking. He also was a former little league football coach in east Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Anna. James is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Tornai; children, Becky (Dean) Brines, Deborah (Orin) Essing, Dan (Lisa) Marshall, James (Pam) Marshall, step-children, Steve (Sandy) Tornai, Larry (Jean) Tornai, Mark (Carlene) Tornai Lori (Kenn) Jamison, Lynn (Pat) Scott; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Charlotte) Marshall, Robert (Vi) Marshall; and a large host of friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-9 pm in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH. where Scripture services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Prayers Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 am and proceed to Good Shepherd Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am .Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial.
