James E. Spurlock, 84, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Auugst 24, 2021 at Rockynoll Niursing Center, Akron, Ohio. Jim was born in Huntington, West Virginia February 13, 1937 to Paul and Helen (Franklin) Spurlock. For over 30 years, Jim worked as a meat cutter with Joseph's and Kroger Grocery Stores. He is survived by his grandson, Mark (Christine) Cole; great-granddaughters, Sofiya and Alivia, and Elana Cole; niece, Deborah Fillinger; and brother, George Spurlock. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julie; and daughter, Nancy Cole. Graveside services Saturday, August 30, 2021 at 9:30 am in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
