James F. Wilcox, 69, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1940, to Allan and Catherine (Menden) Wilcox. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1959. Jim was an inspector for AP Parts for 24 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. In his spare time Jim enjoyed going to the Storm Hockey games with his daughter. He also enjoyed fishing, attended classic cars shows and going on several casino trips. Surviving are his daughter, Melissa Wilcox; sisters, Barbara (James) Stegeman and Mary Whiting; brother, William (Judy); former wife, Bonnie Wilcox. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia and brother, Michael. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, for Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jim's memory are asked to consider the donor's choice.
