James R. Wood, 73, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born to James F. and Margaret (Steinmetz) Wood on December 5, 1937. A graduate of Waite High School, Jim worked for Interlake-Coppers for years. He retired from St. Vincent Medical Center in 2003. Jim was a member of Paragon Lodge #788 for many years. Surviving are his loving wife, Joyce; daughter, Terri (Brian) Baumgartner; daughter-in-law, Angie Wood; grandsons, Andrew, Alex and Erik Langenderfer, Landon Wood; granddaughter, Ann Marie Wood; brothers-in-law, Bobby (Mary) Hancock, Bill (Barb) Klingbeil; nephews, Mike and Keith; nieces, Diana and Deb. James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmer; sister, Wanda Hancock. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Where Paragon Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery.
