James E. Young, 83, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1922 in Toledo, OH to Loring and Anna (Weisbord) Young. James worked for the City of Toledo most of his life, where he retired from the Water Reclamation Plant. Prior to working for the city James also was employed by Zenz Construction as a heavy equipment operator. James was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of VFW Post #9445, the American Legion Post #576, a 50 year member of the Harbor Light Masonic Lodge #746 and golfed in the Hi Twelve golf league. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite, and the Zenobia Shrine where he was in the drum and bugle corp. Surviving are his loving wife, Elanor; daughters, Sandra Cahill-Burns, Patricia (James) Sabin, Cynthia Martinez; step son, Kenneth (Cathy) DeWitt; step daughter, Sue (Wayne) Helle; grandchildren, James and Brent Cahill, Melissa Sabin, Jennifer and Michelle Schupp; 5 step grand children and 4 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James L. Young. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 20, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue, where visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 9 pm. Masonic Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in N. Oregon Cemetery. The family suggest contributions be made to either Zoar Lutheran Church, Shrine Children's Hospitals or the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation: Visitation Times 2-9 Sunday Oregon Chapel
