Janet Marie Castle, 82, passed away peacefully at Mercy St. Charles Hospital Tuesday, December 28th, 2021. Janet was born February 19, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold E. and Beulah F. (Pete) Babcock. Janet, lovingly known by her family as "Gum", loved working in her flower gardens, and watching things grow, telling stories of her childhood, and playing dice. She was always up for a good ghost story. Janet loved her family and enjoyed painting pictures for her family. What her family will always remember is her smile, her laughter, and sense of fun. Janet is survived by her children; Vickie M. Jordan-Linke, Susan L. (Bill) Bauer, Timothy S. (Dawn), Jordan, Jeffrey P. (Donna) Jordan, Paul A. (Anna) Jordan, and Jennifer L. Owens; grandchildren, Shannon J. (Matthew) Avers, Eryn M. (Kevin) Sanders, Daniel E. Linke, Crystal M. Woodruff, Dustin T. Owens, Destiny M. (Alex) Jordan, Jonathan and Matthew Jordan. Janet was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Eugene Babcock, Donna Babcock, Judith Bergeman, and Jim Babcock; and grandson, Nicholas P. Linke. Private family funeral services will be held.
