Janet K. Maas, 63, of Northwood passed away on Friday, January 4, 2008, in the Toledo inpatient unit of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Janet was born in Toledo on October 24, 1944, to Charles and Louise Borchardt. She was the widow of Gary Maas who preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Maas was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Caring Services. Janet was a member of the Arthur Daly American Legion Auxiliary, Northwood VFW Auxiliary and the Rossford Eagles Auxiliary. Surviving are her daughters, Tonya (Steve) Case and Shannon (Nicholas) Walentowski; grandchildren, Chris, Austin and Josh Case, Destiny, Dalamar and Drake Utter. She will also be missed by her many friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane Hipkiss and special friend, Ted Frampton.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Monday from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park.
