Janet M. Morrison, 90, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 3, 1936 to William and Hilda (Miller) Wiemeyer. She graduated from Clay High School, Class of 1954 and shortly after married the love of her life, Carl "Dutch" Morrison on May 5, 1957. Together they enjoyed traveling all over, going on several cruises with their group of friends and wintering down in Medeira Beach, Florida. Janet was a life member at First St. John Lutheran Church where her great-grandfather was one of the founding members. She also spent many years volunteering at church in many different roles. Janet worked in the Oregon School system for over 40 years, mainly serving as an Administrative Assistant. If you knew Janet, you knew that family was number one, whether it was cheering on her kids and grandkids at all of their sporting events, or gathering around for a holiday meal or a summer get together. Janet was a proud Clay Eagle and proud Athletic Booster. She was a good Christian woman with a strong work ethic, but what she cherished most was her loving family.
Janet is survived by her children, Kelley (John) Heninger, Mark (Karen) Morrison, Brad (Nicole) Morrison; grandchildren, Nicole (Tom) Riffner, Danielle (Nate) Gaines, John (Kasey) Heninger, Hannah (Troy) Vantrease, Seth (Melanie Garcia) Morrison and Thor (Samantha) Morrison, Olivia, Ben, Jake and Max Morrison; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Blake, Parker, Owen, Derek, Carson and Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Dutch," and sister, Connie Larson.
The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Homes, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Monday, October 12, 2026 at First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43605 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
