Janice L. Jan Dimmick, 55, of Oregon OH passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007 in her home. She was born in Three Rivers, Michigan on January 2, 1952 to James Sr. and Jean (Flack) Dimmick. Jan was employed by the Trane Company in Rushville, IN until retiring with a disability. On January 12, 2000, she received a bilateral lung transplant, and was so very grateful for this greatest of all gifts. Before a recent illness, Jan's greatest joy was volunteering for Life Connection of Ohio to spread the word about organ donations.
Surviving are her children, Tamara (Derrick) Fouts, German Town, MD and Tony (Nicki) Arbogast, Elkart, IN; mother, Jean Dimmick; grandsons, Gabriel and Eli Fouts, and Jackson Arbogast; brother, Jim (Wendy) Dimmick, White Pigeon, MI, and sister, Joy Judge, Whitmore Lake, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, James.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jan's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Life Connections of Ohio.
