Janice Lynn (Eberlin) Dreier, 76, while surrounded by her loving family, journeyed to her heavenly home on November 5, 2014 after complications from surgery.
Janice was a longtime resident of Oregon, Ohio and a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Clay High School, where she met the love of her life, Norman "Freddie" Dreier; they celebrated 52 years of marriage, before his passing in 2011. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Elmer and Geraldine (Morey) Eberlin, brother, Richard Eberlin, and dear son, Jeffrey Dreier.
Janice was a busy mother shuttling her four boys to scouting functions, sporting events, music concerts, and art museum classes, while also being active in the PTA and Mother'™s Club. She loved and supported her grandchildren: she was delighted to see Megan perform at orchestra concerts and to watch Douglas walk the stage at his law school graduation, to attend Matthew'™s band concerts and baseball games and to babysit Heidi. In midlife, after successfully raising her sons, Janice worked at Beth Allen'™s Florist in Oregon, Ohio and at the voting polls on Election Day. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, lunching with her friends, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Janice and her husband enjoyed boating; she was a member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club Auxiliary.
Surviving are her beloved sons, David, Tim, and Gary (Suzanne) Dreier; former daughter-in-law Diane Stvartak; grandchildren, Megan, Douglas, Matthew and Heidi Dreier; sister, Joanne (Hank) Schumaker; sister-in-law Mary Eberlin; and many more relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 9 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio from 2:00 to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Monday, November 10 at 11:00 am and where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Cemetery.
