Janis L. Haynes, 55, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 9, 2005, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on February 13, 1950, to Raymond and Evelyn (Snyder) Hart in Toledo. Janis graduated from Start High School and attended classes at the University of Toledo. She was employed with the Container Graphic Corp. of Toledo for over 25 years, 13 of those in sales until her illness forced retirement.
Janis was a member of Westgate Chapel where she loved looking after the youngsters in the nursery. She also was a member of the Chapel Bible Study Group and an active member in the Maumee Valley Herb Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, music, dancing, boating, snowmobiling and had a great sense of humor. She joked and kept smiling as she took the treatments for her illness. She had such a strong spirit and loved life so much. She will be greatly missed.
Janis is survived by her husband of 26 years, Ronald; stepdaughters, Trisha (Roger) Small of Phoenix, AZ and Jennifer (Matt) McIntire of Perrysburg; brothers, Jim (Diane) Hart and Doug (Christine) Hart; sister, Linda (Carl) Timm; stepgrandchildren, Eli and Madison Small and Alexander, Hannah and Mariah McIntire and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Ronald M. and brother, Raymond W. Hart Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Janis' memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Westgate Chapel.
