Jason G. Plodzik, 36, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Jason was born on October 23, 1977 in Toledo, Ohio to Michael and Theresa (Martinez) Plodzik. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching the NBA and cheering for his favorite teams, the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University. Jason will be remembered for his good nature, quick wit and uplifting spirit. Jason is survived by his parents; siblings, Jennifer (Raymond) Allen, Bryan Plodzik and Megan (Luke) Swiden; grandmothers, Olga (Chuck) Tucker and Iona Winston; grandfather, Gilbert Martinez; nieces, Brooklyn and Sophia Swiden; nephews,Little Jason Garcia, Timothy Plodzik; special family members, Martha Martinez, Julian Weeks, Andrea Plodzik, Haily Plodzik, and Richard Allen; and many other loved ones. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m." 8:00 p.m. with Rosary services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to Epiphany of the Lord - St. Thomas Aquinas, 729 White St., Toledo for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to give special thanks to the Toledo Fire Department Station #19 and the staff at Mercy St. Vincent'™s Emergency Department.
