Jean A. Berger, 79, of Millbury, OH, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, OH, on April 29, 1926, to Floyd and Ruth (Kraus) Fralick. Jean attended Waite High School and was employed with the U.S. Postal System for 18 years at the Harbor View and Toledo branches, retiring in 1988. She was member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and loved traveling to Phoenix and Las Vegas to visit friends. She also enjoyed gambling, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clifford, on September 25, 2005; father, Floyd Fralick; mother, Ruth; step dad, Bernard "Biddy" Baker and many friends. Surviving are her children, Judith (Tom) Polster, Jeff (Joan) Berger and Jackie (Adam) Radloff; brother, Jerry Fralick; sister, Nancy Alwood; grandchildren, Tamara Golkiewicz, Tracy Leshan, Ron Polster, Justin Busbey, Alyssa and Michael Berger and Jia Radloff, along with 7 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, November 20, 2005, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Jean's memory can be made to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Ignatius Church or the American Cancer Society.
