Jean S. Friend, 86, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 12, 1925 to Daniel Sr. and Bessie (Kurtz) Schwarz. Jean was a 1943 graduate of Waite High School and a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, John; son, Warren (Sue); daughter, Kathy (George) Myers; daughter-in-law, Joyce (Bill) Meyers; brother, Daniel (Annabelle) Schwarz; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and son, Gary Friend. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo, OH. Interment will be private in Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Jean'™s memory can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
