Jean A. Proshek, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. Jean was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 5, 1943 to George and Viola (Anderson) Proshek Sr. For 42 years, Jean worked at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center as a purchasing supervisor, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed ceramics and playing bunco with friends. Jean is survived by her sister, Rita Hall; sister, Gilberta Barry and her children, Christine, Jennifer, and Gregory; brother, George (Lizzette) Proshek Jr. and his children, Phillip, Brandon, and Eric; dear friend, Kathy ( Joe Barton) Davis; along with many great nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Proshek; nephew, Michael Barry; and dear friend, Martha Davis. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2:00 pm '" 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 2, 2014 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
