Jeanette E. Manthey, 75, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 30, 1934 to George J. and Catherine (Fehser) Fournier. Through the years, Jeanette had been employed as a clerical worker by various trucking firms and then retired from ABF Trucking in 2000. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she was involved in the R.C.I.A. and a past member of the Altar Rosary Society of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Jeanette will always be remembered for her loving concern of the welfare of her children and grandchildren, her love of baking and her generosity. Most of all she will be remembered for her real love, that of being with her family, and making sure that the holidays were enjoyed by all.
Surviving are her children, Michael F. (special friend, Sharon Talbot), Mark C. (Marisa), Carol A. (John) Campbell, Matthew J. (Karen); brothers and sisters, Catherine Earl, twin sister, Joanne (Joe) Romano, John G. Fournier; grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Nicholas, Alissa, Michael, Catherine and Alexandria; sister-in-law, Connie Fournier also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter; grandson, Jason; brothers, James and Robert Fournier; sister and brother-in-law, Rita & Red Ferguson; brother-in-law Albert Earl.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Contributions in Jeanette's memory may be made to St. Ignatius Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
