Jeanne M. Bloom, 90 of east Toledo, passed away Monday, January 9 in her residence. Jeanne was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 10, 1926 to Richard Boyer and Marie Winker-Boyer. She was a 1946 graduate of Waite High School and continued her education receiving a Bachelors Degree in Education. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1946. Jeanne worked for the former Lampson" and Jacobson's Department Stores as well as the University of Toledo Bookstore. She and her husband also owned and operated the Maumee Valley Silk Screen. Jeanne loved and was an avid golfer belonging to many golf clubs. She enjoyed astrology and traveling to many places in the U.S and Europe. Jeanne always had a place in her heart for animals, especially Dachshunds. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eldon; family members, Mabel Garbe, Frank & Loretta Winker, Frank & Virginia Winker, Carolyn Wagner, George Wagner II, Jeannie Winker.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Mary (Greg) Sharp, Chris (Eric) Rill, Douglas (Anjuli) Winker, Frank Wagner, Kim Wagner, Lisa (Lindsey) Trace, Danielle (Tim) Kazee, Frank II, Kyle and Hanna Wagner, Felicia Sharp, dear friend, Sharon Abney.
Visitation and services will be held on Monday, January 16, at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road, from 9:00 am until 12 noon. Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Private family funeral services will follow. Private interment will take place at Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Toledo Area Humane Society.
