Obituary

Jeanne M. Dickerson, age 67, of Oregon, OH, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg, Ohio), after a five-year valiant struggle with cancer. Jeanne was a stay-at-home mother, extraordinaire. She had a passion for music through her husband's career as a musician in the country music industry in Ohio and Michigan and her own interests in the "Oldies" with WRQN, 93.5, Ron Sobczak (a life-long friend and supporter), Ron Finn, and Bob Kelly were her life support system through her ordeal with cancer. Additionally, she enjoyed Cliff Smithers on K100 because of his passion for the industry. Jeanne and her sister, Jackie supported and publicized WRQN 93.5, following their mobile broadcasts and providing food and gifts. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas K. Dickerson; her father, Richard Fogle and mother, Margaret Fogle; mother and father-in-law, Wyatt and Anna Dickerson and brothers-in-law, John and David Dickerson. She is survived by her children/ caregivers: Brenda (Gregory) Myers of Oregon, OH, and Jeff and Tom Dickerson of Northwood, OH; grandchildren, Holly, Jeffery, Thomas, Logan, Dana, and Michael; her pets, Bailey and Gretchen; sisters, Marilyn Fogle, Peggy Furry, Kathy Behrendsen, Joanne Fogle, Jackie Fogle, and Debbie Fogle; brothers, Richard and Gerald Fogle; brother-in-law, Richard Dickerson. She had so many people involved in her life that included her cousins, Pat, Carolyn, Karen, Sonny, Trudy, and Julie; nieces, nephews, her grandchildren's friends, and her own special friends at the radio stations WRQN and K100, Woodville Mall, Frisches, Bob Evans (Oregon) and Pearson's Party Store (the places she frequented) that comforted her during her crisis with cancer. A special thank you to Dr. Hazimah and Dr. Brown and staff. We understand that you gave Jeanne the best care humanly possible. Keep moving on to find a cure. Thank you. Hospice of Northwest Ohio is our precious jewel. Please donate your dollars to support them. Family and friends will be received in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd. (corner of Starr Ave.), Oregon, OH, on Thursday, April 19, from 3-9 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, April 20, and proceed to Sacred Heart Church, 509 Oswald, for Mass of Christian Burial with time to be announced. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial tributes to the family of Jeanne Dickerson to support them with medical and funeral expenses.
