Beloved mother, Jeanne Alyce Koren, went to join the love of her life for over 60 years, Abel William Koren, in heaven on March 30, 2016. Jeanne worked at St. Charles Hospital in the Emergency Room for over 20 years before retiring to her dream home on the beach in East Point, Florida. Jeanne truly enjoyed reading and to appease her appetite for books, volunteered at the Apalachicola Library for 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and many other forms of crafting. Jeanne was a long time member of the Eastern Stars, Yondota Chapter and of St. Marks Lutheran Church. Jeanne is preceded in death by her father Clarence Boring, her mother Odessa (Melms) Boring. She is survived by her loving daughter Kara Koren (Mike Szirotnyak), son Kim Koren (JoLynn) and grandchildren Kasey Szirotnyak, Kori Szirotnyak, Kaytlyn Koren, Kristian Koren and Kelsey Koren. Per Jeanne's request Eggleston, Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home will handle all final preparations. A private family service will be held in East Point, Florida on September 30, 2016. Donations in Jeanne's honor may be made to the East Point Animal Shelter in East Point, Florida or to a charity of their choice.
Come away with me my love, to a house built by you and me....
Where we will live a life of love, happy as can be....
And when it's time to say goodbye please, don't cry for me....
As we shall meet again my love, when we drift together upon the sea....
