God called home his Irish angel Jennie V. Spencer the morning of April 13, 2015 from her sleep. Jennie was born to Edward and Helen Malone (Lee) on December 18, 1930 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Jennie was a foster child of Marge and Carl Dietrich, Jennie held them in very high regard. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and went on to study nursing. Prior to her graduation, she was wooed into marriage by Gerald L. Spencer of Toledo -- much to the consternation of her instructors. Together, they raised five children. Jennie enjoyed being a housewife and mother as well as the fact that when she worked outside of the home, the household did not function well. Jennie was a fine seamstress, loved to bake, fish, camp, and trailer. In her later years she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's stole her memory but not her smile or laughter. Jennie treasured and was treasured by her family and her friends.
The Spencer family greatly appreciates the support of the Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, Friends of the Family and her caregivers of many years: Roberta Soto, Kim Roman, Aunt Millie Bailey (Jennie's baby sister) and Cheryl Lapinski (Jennie's daughter).
