Jennifer Ellen 'œGigi' Sutphin, 44, of Ann Arbor MI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 8, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio to Danny J. and Jeanne E. (Herrick) Sutphin. Jennifer graduated from Hillsdale College and was employed as a special education teacher with the Manor Foundation. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Chi Omega Sorority, Ladies Oriental Shrine and the Highland Lassie'™s Bagpipes and Drums. Surviving are her mother, Jeanne; siblings, Daniel Sutphin, Brad (Louise) Sutphin and Jeana (Dale) Gernert; grandmother, Gene Ellen Herrick; nieces and nephews, Joseph and Francesca Gernert, Beverly and Bradley Beavers. Jennifer left behind many special friends, among them are Shawn and Ralph Van Heyningen, and their children Phoebe and Sylvia, and Dan and Kristen Wester, and their children, Megan, Kelly and Margot. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny; grandfathers, Robert C. Herrick Sr. and Hayward Sutphin; and grandmother, Eula Sutphin.
