IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeremiah Thomas
Curran
April 13, 1941 – March 29, 2023
Jeremiah "Jerry" Curran, the ultimate patriarch, the GOAT, the most buckeye loving, wisdom giving, moment capturing human, passed on Wednesday March 29, 2023. He was born April 13,1941 to the late John and Genevieve (Laskey) Curran in Toledo, Ohio. Jerry's legacy was based on his phrase "This is really livin'!". As one of his good friends said, Jerry truly packed as much life in as he could with his family and friends. There are so many great and fun memories we all loved to share. Jerry was passionate about his beloved Buckeyes with signature tailgating and enjoying a cigar with a Mug O' Manhattans to celebrate the victories! Jerry gave the gift of travel to his family seeing the country in his RV every chance he could.
Jerry was a 1960 graduate of Waite High School and was a pioneer in promoting Physicians Assistants (PA) to be licensed in the state of Ohio in 1973. He worked as a PA in orthopedic surgery and physical medicine retiring in August 2017 from ProMedica. Jerry excelled in his field and devoted time to being the President of the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants working toward prescriptive authority for ten years.
Jerry married Marilyn Natalie in 1962 and had three daughters Colleen, Erin and Kerry. In 1978, he married his second wife Linda Ackerman. They were married for 31 years and he was blessed with his fourth daughter Amy. He has considered himself very fortunate to spend the last 13 years of his life with his fiancée, Lorene Davenport, who was born on the same day. They enjoyed golfing and dinner out with their friends and families.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Linda and his brother Patrick Curran. He is survived by his daughters Colleen (Bernie) Goetz, Erin (Tadd) Davis, Kerry (Andy) Nissen, Amy Curran Adamski. Grandchildren Lauren (Nate), Shane and Delaney Goetz; Luke (Stevie), Jeremiah "JD" Davis; Katie (Bryson) Bottini, Noah (Abby) and Mallory Nissen; Alivia Adamski.
