Jerry Bronkowski, 77, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jerry was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 2, 1935 to Louis and Mary (Sargent) Bronkowski. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. On February 16, 1963, he married Donna Jaquillard. Jerry was employed with General Motors as a tool cutter for 36 years, retiring in 1996. He was an active member of First St. Mark Lutheran Church for many years. Jerry was active at the Oregon Senior Center where he enjoyed socializing and playing bingo. He enjoyed taking trips to his favorite casinos, golf courses, and long drives in the country. His true passion was spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his children; Vicki (Eric) Cogswell and Lori (Tom) Csizek; grandchildren, Justin (Becky) Cogswell, Jenna (Kyle) Turco, Jayde Cogswell; Alex and Anthony Csizek; brothers, Eugene and Roland; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends at the Oregon Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; son, Daniel; brothers, Louis and Floyd; and sisters, Clara, Marion, and Isabelle.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor'™s choice.
