Jerry L. McCann, 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. He was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on March 25, 1942 to William and Bertelle (Smith) McCann. He owned and operated McCann's Tailoring in east Toledo for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church, Toledo, OH. Jerry also was a member of the Harbor View Yacht Club, American Legion, National Exchange Club and the VFW. Jerry was a fun loving, vibrant man that knew no strangers. He would light up a room when he walked in. He would give you the shirt off of his back if he knew that you needed it more than he did. Surviving are his children, Debbie Waltman, Patti Ebenrick, Marsha Shaughnessy, Shari Badolato, Laurie Billings and David McCann; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother William. Friends and family may visit the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd. on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Viewing is at 11:00 and the service begins at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private.
