Jesus G. Benavidez, 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was born in Mercedes, Texas on August 17, 1943 to Jose and Mercedes (Guittierez) Benavidez. Jesus married the love of his life, Elma (Munguia) on December 5, 1965. He worked as a laborer on the Railroad for over 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his vegetable garden, reading the newspaper, but most of all, spending time with his family. Jesus is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elma; children, Jesus Benavidez Jr., Angelita (Shane) Snyder, Sandra Benavidez, Martin Anthony "Tony" Benavidez; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister. In accordance with Jesus' wishes there will be no services.
