Joan I. Dudley "Me-Maw", 74, of Toledo, OH passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2005 in the ICU Unit at Bay Park Community Hospital. She was born on January 4, 1931 in Fostoria, OH to Fred Sr. and Lydia (Lind) Laney who preceded her in death. Joan was a very special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all, especially young children. She will be greatly missed and we are all thankful and better off to have been with her.
Joan is survived by her son, Gary (Deb and her children, Crystal and Ryan Cieslak); brother, Fred Laney Jr.; sisters, Phyllis Laney and Julia (Fred) Rickman; granddaughters, Nicole (Sean Fitzgerald) Vindas and Tonya Vindas and most of all her great-granddaughter, Skylar Jo Fitzgerald; nephews, Greg (Kim and Sierra) Lilienthal and John Fejes along with cousin, Jenny Green. She is also survived by special friends Jerri Antoszewski, Bev Marsh, Judy and Cathy Collins, Bob Podgorski, Shirley Reed, Joanne Limpf and family, Walter Vindas and family and lifelong friends, Tootie Babcock and Jean Harrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Dudley and daughter, Brenda Jo.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Thursday, July 7, 2005 from 2-9 pm where funeral services conducted on Friday at 11 am. Interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to Odessey Hospice 1755 Indianwood Circle Maumee, OH 43557 or the charity of the donor's choice.
