Joan I. Healy, 82, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, July 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born May 21, 1939 in Carey, Ohio to Russell and Mildred Brown. August 12, 1972 in Texas, she married James Healy. Joan was well known for her love of flowers in her outdoor gardens and the plants she raised inside her home. Joan and Jim spent countless weekends at local flea markets and maintained several booths at local antique stores selling glassware and jewelry. She was a longtime member of Mainstreet Church.
Joan is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim; children, Jim (Angela) Healy, Joanne Healy-Bee, Craig (Amanda) Healy, and Christopher Healy (Kerry); 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lynne Harpel and Pat (David) Martin; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband James Martin in 1969; and siblings, David Brown and Sandy Lehman.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Monday, July 26, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery.
