Joan O'Regan, 85, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at Genoa Retirement
Village. Joan was born in Cork, Ireland on June 15, 1936 to Cornelius and Rose (Sykes)
O'Regan. Joan immigrated to Northwood, Ohio in 1956. She became a computer programmer
with the Toledo Clinic early in her career. Later Joan commuted daily from Walbridge, Ohio to
Monroe, Michigan for computer work. Tired of all those long commutes, she began working for
Cimarron Express in Genoa, Ohio where she eventually retired. Joan loved her children and
grandchildren dearly. Her boys brought home stray dogs from time to time and she couldn't say
no to the new furry family additions. Later in life she rescued small dogs to love on and take
care of. Joan loved tea and cookies, ice cream and Rolo caramels. She dreamed of revisiting her
homeland Ireland but was never able to see that to fruition.
Joan is survived by her children, Stephen O'Regan and Patrick (Sonda Kaye) O'Regan; and 6
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Terrence.
