Joan J. Tilton, 76, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Mercy St. Charle's Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 14, 1948 to Thomas and Betty (Latta) Muraski. She graduated from Northwood High School and would marry the love of her life and best friend, William "Bill" Tilton on August 31, 1968. Joan worked as a sales associate for JC Penny's and most recently as a nursing coordinator for Arbor's of Oregon. She 2nd Vice in the American Legion Dunberger Post Auxiliary and member of Cedar Creek Church. In her earlier years she enjoyed watching her boys in their various sporting events and that continued on when the grandchildren came along. She had a passion for taking pictures and scrapbooking. Joan was always caring and providing for others. She was truly a selfless woman. She loved cooking for her family on Sundays or whatever gathering there may be. She always looked forward to her monthly lunches with her Ranger girls. Joan had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill; sons, Michael (Julie Fisher), Matthew (Monica) Tilton, Mark (Susan) Tilton; grandchildren, Leah, Riley, Chase (Amelia), Olivia, Luke, Ava; step-grandchildren, Kylee, Ty, Brody; and siblings, Patricia Mahler and Thomas Muraski. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth Mahler, Joyce Tilton, Don Tilton and Ron Tilton.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
