Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Joan Marie Zawisza, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon, Ohio, where she was blessed to have spent the past nine years of her life. Our most heartfelt thanks to all of the Sisters and staff for their love and care during this time. Busha was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 27, 1923 to Frank and Josephine Buczkowski. Joan was employed by St. Vincent'™s Hospital for 25 years in their Cytology Department. She was a member of St. Hedwig'™s Church and enjoyed playing Bingo, watching baseball and 'œBig Time' Wrestling. Surviving are her son, Valentine 'œVal' (Nan) Zawisza; grandchildren, Lynn Marie Moran and Nichole Joan (Paul) Cordell; great grandchildren, McKenzie and Madison Moran, Cameron and Carson Cordell. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Valentine Sr. A memorial mass will be held at the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Home 930 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 11am. Those planning an expression of sympathy in Joan'™s memory are asked to consider the Little Sisters of the Poor.
